Hello everyone, this is Daniel with ManyBidets.com. Today we're going to be comparing the nozzles of the Brondell
Swash 1400 Bidet Seat and the Bio Bidet A8 Serenity Bidet Seat. Both seats take very different approaches to nozzle setup. As we can see here, the a8 Serenity on the right has a single nozzle with multiple tips built into it. Versus the Brondell Swash 1400, which has two nozzles, one for each wash. Both nozzles offer self-cleaning and both nozzles offer a front wash and a rear wash operated with different nozzle tips. We can see from the video that the swash 1400's nozzles reach a bit further. However the a8 Serenity shoots the water at a stronger angle, allowing both nozzles to reach similar distances at seated height. The nozzle on the Bio Bidet a8 is also about twice the diameter of each of the brondell swash 1400 nozzles, and offers significantly higher water flow than we see with the swash 1400. Currently, we see the front wash on both nozzles. You'll notice that the a8's nozzle offers a slightly wider front wash, and good coverage with that front wash because of the higher water flow. The swash 1400 allows you to adjust the width of the front wash. The flow rate on the swash 1400 remains the same regardless of the width setting chosen. This means that as the width gets wider the water per square centimetre is reduced. While the Swash 1400 does allow you to change the spray width, the lack of the ability to change the water flow at this width does make it slightly less effective (at wider spray) than the a8 in our opinion. However the ability to adjust the width is a nice feature making it hard to declare a clear winner when it comes to the front wash. When it comes to the rear wash, the same principles apply. While the swash 1400 allows the width to be adjusted, it spreads that water over a larger surface area making it slightly less effective. The a8 bidet seat also offers more range when it comes to low pressure vs. high pressure then we see with the brondell swash 1400 bidet seat. But the swash 1400 has a slightly higher overall water pressure. When it's said and done both seats are very similar to one another when it comes to things like water heating, aeration, oscillation, etc. The a8 does have the ability to turn aeration on or off but does not have the ability to adjust the spray width like the brondell swash 1400 does. If nozzle sterilization is important to you, the swash 1400 is the way to go. Using silvernano technology, it allows you to sterilize the nozzles at any point. The a8 on the other hand does not offer this function. As you can see from our review both of these seats have their advantages. Knowing what you're looking for in a seat will go a long way in determining which of these is the best fit for your needs. If you're still not sure, simply reach out to us and we're happy to help.
